Rhetorical Analysis Essay
The purpose of this essay is to draw conclusions of how the modern-day text follows or revises a classical convention in order to fit the 21st century audience, context, or a new medium. In my Rhetorical Analysis essay, I focused on one of the conventions of Sherlock Holmes, the use of observation and deduction. I chose a scene in the episode "A Study in Pink" from the television series Sherlock, and a scene from the film Sherlock Holmes. I analyzed these two scenes closely with cinematic elements. Revision Strategy
After receiving a number of peer reviews and feedbacks from Professor Haas, I learned how to improve my essay. First, I removed repetitive and filler sentences in order to keep the essay focus. I need organize my sentences in a logical order to effectively develop my main idea.
